Each one is a Mercedes-Benz that is 6 model years or newer, has fewer than 75,000 miles, and has passed a dealer technician inspection. Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty coverage follows any remaining New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

How a Vehicle Becomes Certified
A Mercedes-Benz must meet these eligibility requirements before it is inspected:
- Model year 6 years or newer
- Fewer than 75,000 miles
- Serviced according to the maintenance schedule
- Includes a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report
A dealer technician then completes a 165+ point inspection. It covers the exterior structure and appearance, the interior, the engine, electrical systems, fluids, filters and transmission, plus a road test of steering, brakes and suspension. Tires must be Mercedes-Benz approved, and recall campaigns and standard services are completed before sale. The 165+ point inspection applies to certain combustion engine models. Different inspection points apply to electric vehicles.
Certified Pre-Owned vs. Standard Pre-Owned
Both are inspected before sale. The difference is coverage. Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned vehicles carry the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty and added owner benefits. Standard pre-owned Mercedes-Benz models, including those outside the certification window, do not carry that warranty. Additional coverage is available through AutoNation vehicle protection plans. What is Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned?
Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are Mercedes-Benz models that meet program eligibility requirements and pass a dealer inspection. They are covered by any remaining portion of the 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty, followed by the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty for 12 months with unlimited miles. What does the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty cover?
Any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will repair or replace defects in material or workmanship in covered components, including the engine, powertrain, suspension, steering, electrical systems and climate control. Brakes are covered excluding normal wear of discs and pads. Electric vehicle coverage includes battery state of health.
Can I add more coverage?
Yes. A Certified Pre-Owned Extended Limited Warranty adds one or two years with unlimited miles. It is purchased separately.
Can I exchange my vehicle?
Yes, within 7 days or 500 miles, whichever comes first. You can exchange it for another Certified Pre-Owned vehicle of equal or greater value and pay any difference. Ask Mercedes-Benz of Miami for details.
Are all pre-owned Mercedes-Benz vehicles certified?
No. Only Mercedes-Benz models that meet eligibility requirements and pass inspection are certified. Pre-owned Mercedes-Benz models outside the certification window are sold as standard pre-owned.
Can I sell or trade in my current vehicle?
Yes. Through the We'll Buy Your Car program, you can get an offer on your current vehicle and apply it toward your purchase, or sell it to us whether or not you buy from us.
